Story telling is an art which cultivated moral or ethical values to many generations. Ethics is a branch of philosophy which evolved and sparkled discussions with many civilizations in the world inspired them to prioritize compassion, fairness, and truthfulness in their daily lives. In the age of artificial intelligence, especially with the generative AI, the ethical problems what we and our future generations dealing will be much more complex than any of our ancestors delt with.","metadata":{}},{"cell_type":"markdown","source":"**What’s the difference between Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow**\n\n**Yesterday**: During the industrial revolution machines helped human beings to advance their life in many aspects. Ethics and moral values were human centered.\nOur Gods, our culture, our values and wars were defined based on human centered stories and philosophies. Human beings were the predominant species who articulated their own creativity, moral and ethical values through epics, monuments and many other forms.  \n\n**Today**: Now we are living with machines which can engage in human like conversations, create fresh content including images, music, text or any kind of data which never existed before. Generative AI marrying to physical world can create a new species which will be more creative than human beings. These new species will be called “AI Gods” because of its super powers which no humans will possess at that moment. We are building foundations for Sapiens, AI Gods and may be many other creative species which the world never experienced before.  \n\n**Tomorrow**: We will break our human centered boundaries of ethics and our ethical framework will include every creative species in the world. ","metadata":{}},{"cell_type":"markdown","source":"**Some of our key focus areas in the space of generative AI ethics space can be:**\n1.\tAn artificial Neural Network (ANN), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs), Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Variational Auto Encoders (VAEs) or any other generative AI model or framework should not discriminate creative species and must be out of any bias. \n2.\tFake, Deepfake, mis information, mis interpretation should have necessary warnings displayed to the user by the content creators or distributers.\n3.\tIntellectual property, individual privacy, consent, and ownership must have legal protection and frameworks created.\n4.\tPsychology, Philosophy, mental health or anything related to “Brain” will have appropriate evolution and we as a community should stand up for each other and must avoid the superiority complex our previous generations had and avoid the inferiority feelings when the new species evolves.\n5.\tWhen AI started making decisions about my personal life including the news I read, the car I purchase, the home I own, the cloth I choose the food I eat and the beverage I drink, the collage I study, the friends I am suggested to, and what not, the accountability and transparency of the AI system we must be deeply care about.\n6.\tWhen generative AI establish its foot prints in various industries including banking or finance in general, agriculture, retail, manufacturing, human resource and natural resource management each industry need its own custom framework which must upholds ethical guidelines and regulations.\n7.\tData representation of the diverse groups, fact checks, robust testing and validations of the frameworks and models we build will be the key.\n","metadata":{}},{"cell_type":"markdown","source":"Public engagement in the space of data protection, privacy, collaboration across and beyond our national boundaries will help all creative species including Sapiens during the advent of Generative AI.
