This is the final project of Math 5542 at UMKC.

We will use the techniques learned in class to infer the conductivity coefficient based on the solution.

## Data

The dataset we will use is generated by the finite difference method solving the forward PDE problem.

## Teams

Each team will consist at most 2 members (solo is good as well), please sign up teams on the Canvas group function in the People tab.

## Submission
Please refer to [Rules](https://www.kaggle.com/competitions/2025-fall-math-5542-umkc/rules): you can upload `.csv` files generated by the starter code to this competition. The submission is then cross-validated by using about 50% of the testing dataset. There is a benchmark solution using a statistical method (Ensemble Kalman Inversion) and a neural operator-based inference (FNO).
