Hyperspectral imaging captures rich spectral signatures, enabling precise material analysis. But dedicated HSI cameras are expensive and bulky. Meanwhile, RAW mosaic sensors (Bayer-like) are cheap and everywhere. This challenge aims to reconstruct a 61-band hyperspectral cube (400–1000 nm, 10 nm step) from a single-channel mosaic input captured at commodity-camera resolution. High-fidelity spectral recon from low-cost sensors would unlock applications from counterfeit detection to agriculture, recycling, and cultural heritage.
