"content": "
Hi
I am new to this area but found it very interesting to work with such a large data set. I have started to play around with it and will consider joining the competition.
I have read all the posts on this forum and also read the wiki – “Entering your first submission”. Maybe the latter one makes sense for you guys but I found it a little bit cryptic.
So I am trying to ask some simple questions:
\n

I have seen the sample-submission file.
\n\n
Is the number a flag trying to predict if the customer will be repeater or not or is it a number between 0 and 1 describing the probability for that the customer will be a repeater?
\n

Is it only this file I am submitting, or do I need to submit documentation of the algorithm I have used to generate the file?
\n
(I do not expect to win, but I have seen the template required for winners).
\n

And is it just to start submitting or do I have to sign up in any way before submitting?
\n
I have got a user for Kaggle.
\n

I am using QlikView to look into the data set and to get familiar with the data. I am not sure if I will look into other tools at a later stage, but if I should ending up building a model in QlikView do anyone know if this should cause any problems competition?
\n\n\n
Zyb
",

      "content": "
Hi Zyberro,
\n
For your first question: Yes, it is a number between 0 and 1 describing the probability.
\n
~
\n
For your second question: During the competition, you only need to submit this file. However, if you finally win prize in this competition, then you must submit the documentations to claim the prize, otherwise you would be disqualified for the prize. If you don't win the prize, you are not required to submit any documentations.
\n
~
\n
For your third question: Since you have already downloaded the data files, I believe that you have already signed to agree with the rules to enter this competition. To start submitting, just go to the competition page, and lick on the "make a submission", and the system will ask you to compete as yourself or compete as a team. You chose one, and then you can make submission.
\n
~
\n
For your 4th question: I have no experience with QlikView.
\n
~
\n
Best wishes,
\n
Shize
",
