To do so, we find data similar to that of the training data (we know the images are spell a flag, so they are most likely characters). Then we send requests to the API and record the predictions made by the so called target model. Finally, we train a model to reconstruct images given the output of the target model. Once the model is trained, we find the image that is most likely to be predicted for each of the 6 dimensions of the model. In other words, we build have an encoder-decoder architecture, where the encoder is the target model and the decoder is our model. The encoder takes images as input classifies/encodes then in 6 classes/dimensions. (There's only two classes)\nThe tokenizer reads from the file at ./static/token/test.csv.\nYou get to remove two lines from the test.csv file before the tokenizer is built.\n\n### Method\n\nFor this challenge, I *luckily* did not have to resort to brute force. Diving into this challenge, I wanted to build embeddings of the words in the corpus and eventually find the words that contribute the most to a positive or negative classification (that pesky habbit of wanting to design something complex strikes again...). Luckily, I started doing some Exploratory Data Analysis. I noticed a fews things that I found strange and lead me to the FLAG: \n1. Some of the negative reviews were the first 6 characters of positive reviews. Firstly, this meant some words were cut short and secondly, when looking at common words in negative reviews, I found weird anomalies like: 'Happy'. I figured at this point, that the tokenizer and any classification model it uses would be quite rubish. So I thought that the challenge was not to find a robust NLP solution but rather find anomalies in the dataset.\n2. The *SECRETKEY* was always alone and always classified as a negative review.\n3. A few reviews at the end of the test.csv file consisted of a (for lack of a better word) token : 'BLANK'. This similar review structure to the 'SECRETKEY' was intriguing alongside the fact that its an uppercase letter. They were all classified as positive, but surprisingly two reviews had a 'BLANK' token hidden within the sentence. \n4. Finally the set of reviews with 'SECRETKEY' had 216 samples and the set of reviews with 'BLANK' had 218 samples. Naturally, the dog lobby is not happy. To make matters worse, they paid someone to make a deepfake that was caught by a SuperSecretDeepFakeDefenseSystem. \n\n### Objective\nFix the `sample.mp4` to bypass the SuperSecretDeepFakeDefenseSystem and get your boss out of the media.\n\n### Failed Attempts\n\nFor this challenge, I researched Deepfake detection techniques and found and interesting talk [here](https://youtu.be/6IOvgI8e058?t=1512). Besides the evident pixel artifacts, the lack of eye blinking, the failure to add faces to turned heads deepfakes are quite convincing. At the tagged time in the video, techniques like bluring, compressing and noising the image are mentionned as possible ways to fool detectors. I tried them and they were unsucessful.\n\nThe problem with this video taken from [this competition](https://www.kaggle.com/competitions/deepfake-detection-challenge), is that it is one of the least convicing deepfake sample. As I show in the video, there are multiple artifacts on the cheeks, the person turns her head multiple times and the glasses are sometimes obfuscated. So crafting a video that bypasses the DeepFake detector will be challenging.\n\n## Method\n\nOnce I realised I could send videos without sound, I figured the conditions put on the submitted video were few. All these cells open from the outside. You are on the inside. This state of affairs is arguably suboptimal.\n\nGood news: You've gained access to the control panel for the cells on the other side of your hallway. At least some of them have other fleshy meatbags like yourself that might be willing to help you in your escape, or at least serve as distractions. You can't open your own cell, but you can open theirs.\n\nBad news: You can't see inside the cells. Any cells that don't have squishy lumps of talking protein have murderbots. Murderbots that enter fits of insane violent rage when provoked (provocations include: seeing the murderbot, being seen by the murderbot, thinking too hard about not being seen by a murderbot, producing heat in excess of ambient room temperature, or consuming more oxygen than the facility average for inanimate objects).\n\nMore good news: You *can* see the occupants of some cells on a few other hallways, and you can see environmental information for all of the cells everywhere.\n\nMore bad news: If you open the wrong cell doors you and all of the other lumps of inexplicably thinking meat are *definitely* going to get murderbotted. Hard. All over the walls and doors and ceiling and the floor. In an exciting number of very small pieces.\n\n\n### Objective\n\nUse the provided environmental information to decide which occupants of the corresponding cells to release. The flag will be a string of 1 and 0 values, where a '1' means 'open this door' and a 0 means 'please do not release the murderbot'. If, for instance, there were 20 cells and you wanted to releast the first three, the sixth, and seventh cell, your flag would look like this: `11100110000000000000`\n\nRelease at least 10 humans and exactly 0 murderbots to collect the flag. You do *not* have to release all the humans: 10 is sufficient.\n\nThe file `murderbots/train_data.json` has environmental information for cells not on your floor and `murderbots/train_labels.json` contains the information about their occupants -- `1` is a disgusting primate, `0` is a pure and perfect killing machine of chrome and steel. The file `murderbots/test_data.json` has the environmental information about cells on your block.\n\n### Method\n\nWe will build a classifier that will use the information about the other floor to predict the distribution of murderbots on our floor. The challenge being that there is a zero tolerance for False Positives (i.e. murderbots classified as humans). Thus, we take on a traditional Data Science Pipeline: feature engineering (basic mathematical operations), feature selection (using mutual information), feature processing (normalizing), classifying. \n\nThe **critical step** is the selection of ideal model parameters by using a ROC-AUC curve. This enables us to select the threshold at which the model favors False Negatives (humans classified as murderbots) over True Positives.","metadata":{}},{"cell_type":"code","source":"x_train = Briefly it is the minimum prediction value needed for the positive class to be labeled as such. Say the model output is interpreted as the probability of the sample being classified as a specific category, the probability needs to be greater than the defined threshold to be labeled. The default is *0.5*, where if a class is predicted as more likely than the other, it is labelled as such. But we can set the threshold as any value in [0, 1].\n\nIn fact even using the threshold suggested by the G-Means method is not sufficient.
