"content": "
This is an INDIVIDUAL competition. You can use any material, but not allowed to contact anyone but the professor
\n\n
A Major electrical car manufacturer Tesma has requested NBZ media to build an advertisement plan for the following 2 weeks. Tesma wants to air 30 sec commercials, in such a way that they reach at least 50 million male users 30-50 years old and 60 million female users 20-50 years old. Tesma does not allow NBZ to schedule more than 10 spots in the same day and more than 2 spots in a particular show/day combination.
\n\n
Tesma requires an even distribution of spots (accumulated across all days) across shows, requiring the number of spots not to vary more than 20% across shows. For example, if one show has 100 spots, other shows can only have 80 to 120 spots assigned. Similarly, Tesma needs an even distribution across days, allowing only a maximum of 30% variation across days.
\n\n
\nTesma's budget is $10,000, which means the plan cannot exceed this amount, but it is in NBZ'a interest to get as close to the budget as possible.\n
\n\n
The available TV shows, their cost (dollars per one spot) and expected audience (millions per one spot) are provided in the data.\n
\n\n
\nFormulate an optimization problem to decide how to schedule Tesma commercials.\n
\n\n
\nCode tip to read data with two sets in SAS:
\n`read data kaagle into SET1=[data_col_name_1];`\n`read data kaagle into SET2=[data_col_name_2];`\n`read data kaagle into`\n    `   [data_col_name_1 data_col_name_2]`\n    `   input_num1=data_col_name_3`\n    `   input_num2=data_col_name_4;`\n\n",
