# Data Description

This page accompanies the dataset and provides essential information about the files included, their format, and the objective of the competition. Understanding this will help participants focus on building effective models without needing constant clarifications.

## Files

- **train.csv** - The training dataset containing both features and the target variable (`Diagnosis`).  
- **test.csv** - The test dataset with the same feature columns as `train.csv`, excluding the target (`Diagnosis`).  
- **submission.csv** - A sample submission file showing the correct format for submitting predictions.  
- **submission_template.csv** - A template with `PatientID` and empty `Diagnosis` columns for submission formatting.

## Objective

The goal is to predict whether a patient has Alzheimer's Disease based on various demographic, lifestyle, medical, and cognitive factors. The target variable is `Diagnosis`, where **0 indicates No Alzheimer's** and **1 indicates Yes**.

- **Smoking**: 0 = No, 1 = Yes.
