We will be working with a modified version of the Ames Housing Dataset. The original dataset contains 79 independent variables for modeling house prices. However, in this version, only 31 variables are included to simplify the modeling process. Additionally, house prices have been adjusted to make the data more conducive to linear regression. The objective is to provide interval estimates for house prices. These intervals will be evaluated based on two factors: the length of the interval (shorter is better) and their accuracy in covering the actual house prices. This dual penalty ensures a balance between precision and reliability.
