The CIC IoMT 2024 WiFi MQTT Dataset is a comprehensive and realistic dataset developed by the Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity (CIC) to simulate cyberattacks and benign behavior in Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) environments. It is designed to help the research and machine learning community advance cybersecurity solutions for smart healthcare systems, particularly in environments using WiFi networks and the MQTT protocol.

Dataset Highlights:
Focus Domain: Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) security

Protocols Simulated: WiFi & MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport)

Types of Devices: Simulated IoMT devices such as smart insulin pumps, patient monitors, and wearable sensors

Attack Types: Includes a variety of modern cyberattacks such as:

Denial-of-Service (DoS)

Man-in-the-Middle (MITM)

MQTT-specific attacks (e.g., flooding, spoofing)

WiFi-based intrusion techniques

Information theft and malware traffic

Data Captured: Network traffic features, protocol-level statistics, timestamps, packet direction, flow durations, flag counts, and many more.
