You are now advanced person on Kaggle and i am like in primary school.\nI started me serious journey with data science in my University. I was the time when i had so many laboratories on which i was doing measurements and then i had to prepare report from this. I've loved this. It was one of my fav things in my Uni.\nThen i started first job, completly not connected with my studies. And it lasted for 1.5 year. I was depressed, exhausted. And i decided to change everything. To have fun from my job, to do what i really love to do. \nNow I am working as software automation tester. But i am learning now everyday data science, machine learning, NLP, big data. I really love this. And i hope to change my job soon from tester to data scientist. I will be connected with my studies and with what i love!\nI love that kind of stories, to read to gain knowledge!
\n\n
I have similar schedule to your, but of course sometimes it is hard to strictly kepp with it. I start learning at about 8 pm and it lasts everyday for 4-5 hours. But after several days i feel exhausted.. and just after job there are some days when i just fall asleep..
\n\n
I wish you luck!
",

"658059": "Another day for Kaggle, but for me, this day will always be special. Exactly a year ago, I've joined the greatest community in the world. Just imagine what concentration of brains (I do not want to say IQ) and talents on one site. Imagined? And now open the kernels and the forum - all these, the smartest people on the planet (I'm not talking about myself)) for all my great arrogance, I don’t even stand nearby them) share their knowledge and lead hand in hand across all the difficulties of machine learning.\n\n> Join, Learn, Share.\n\nI've always thought this should be a Kaggle motto.\n\n\nWhen I registered on the site, I could not even imagine how much Kaggle would mean to me. The goal was simple - to check my knowledge, take part in a couple of competitions. Place a checkmark for the completed stage and move on.\n\nDid I think then that I could win a medal, of course not? And of course, I could not imagine that I could win a competition. But all this is possible. How?\n\nJoin, Learn, Share.\n\n---\n\n## Year-long path\n\n### My first competition:\n\n* https://www.kaggle.com/c/competitive-data-science-predict-future-sales\n\nThe first test. I thought that I would spend a week, maybe two, and finish, but when you see how you climb in the leaderboard, you see how “new cool things” make your model better and you can’t stop. You try harder and harder. How is it that the guy in the first place scores better than yours? If he succeeded, then it is possible, then you need to learn, read, try harder.\n\nAnd here you are in the first place. So far, only in the sandbox, where such mastodons as Giba do not shred the whole leaderboard top and you gain faith in your own strengths.\n\nIn parallel with the competition, I went into reading the forum - I have not seen so much information, the necessary information for a long time or never at all.\n\nThe whole month the schedule was: work, 2 hours of coding, 2 hours of reading, plan for tomorrow. And it gave a result.\n\n\nTip: set a schedule for yourself, read a lot, try to “code” what you learned. Regularity and practice. Set up a time window for Kaggle when nothing distracts you.\n\n\n**Paylist:**\n* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASXjfcf2dvU\n\n---\n\n### The second competition:\n\n* https://www.kaggle.com/c/elo-merchant-category-recommendation\n\nAfter the sandbox, my appetite flashed and I wanted to try a real competition. I did not believe in a good result, but I really wanted to try - the final result is a “ghost” silver medal - cut from the leaderboard for using the second account. Yes, I was young and stupid. It's not stupid to use a second account to analyze your work more quickly but I'm blaming myself for showing such disrespect to thousands of participants (I knew that I would be removed from the leaderboard, I just wanted to check my strength). Now I am very ashamed of that period.\n\n\nTip: do not use a second account)) this is something you will regret for a very long time.\n\n\n**Paylist:**\n* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsbrKZhCLZU\n* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FU0XUolOtzQ\n* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmvC4dY9Qho\n\n---\n\n### Third competition:\n\n* https://www.kaggle.com/c/santander-customer-transaction-prediction\n\nNo second accounts. 2 hours to code, 2 hours to read. Read about everything: models, validation, imbalance data, python, statistics. If you don’t know something, this is not a reason to quit; it is a reason to learn something new.\n\nIt was a time when I met very talented Data Scientists, those whom I can call friends now.\nThe final result, which I am very proud of 48th place in the largest Kaggle competition. It was a huge achievement for me and gave confidence in my abilities.\n\n\nTip: Get out of isolation - communicate, exchange ideas, learn from others.\n\n**Paylist (no ATB this time):**\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwWC_nlvyxk\n\n---\n\n### Fourth competition:\n\n* https://www.kaggle.com/c/jigsaw-unintended-bias-in-toxicity-classification\n\nWe formed a team at the very beginning of the competition and fought like lions)). On the public leaderboard, we were the first 3 hours before the end of the competition and finished in second place. The private result was not so cool - 27th place.\n\n\nHere is our story:\n\n* https://www.kaggle.com/c/jigsaw-unintended-bias-in-toxicity-classification/discussion/97389\n\n\nTip: You will make mistakes, often, a lot, this is not a reason to quit - learn from it - this is the best experience that you can get.\n\n\n**Paylist (again no ATB):**\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pO3_7qipM8\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSThrKGn9EU\n\n---\n\n### Fifth competition:\n\n* https://www.kaggle.com/c/ieee-fraud-detection\n\nWe won. With, I’m not afraid of the word, great competitors. This is our journey. \n* https://www.kaggle.com/c/ieee-fraud-detection/discussion\n\nThe idea at the beginning of the competition was to stop taking from Kaggle and start giving - basic things, not perfect but help in the same way you all helped me during all this year.\n\nTip: Believe in yourself, even if no one supports you, even if you don’t have enough knowledge, believe in yourself, everything is possible, everything depends only on you.\n\n**Paylist:**\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvvDj2fnKoQ\n\n---\n\nNow new challenges are coming.\nI have a dream, dream to work with such talented people as I see here.\nDream to have a job where my hobby and duties go hand in hand.\nOne step closer to it - the previous contract is broken from last Monday.\n\n\n**Be the Kaggle with you**",
"662235": "Thanks for sharing!\nI checked my diary and found my first competition's record (in-class, it belongs to my statistic machine learning class's project, in > 3 years ago) just now, the interface in 2016 is quite different from the current one. Here I wish to show it with you all : )\nThat's interesting to look back on previous competitions we've participated. The memories, efforts, exciting for the improvements and worry about huge shake up...\nHappy Kaggle everyday!\n\n\n![](https://www.googleapis.com/download/storage/v1/b/kaggle-user-content/o/inbox%2F682501%2Fd4352a5bda0f811e604f86dbbd29b9bb%2Fkaggle.jpeg?generation=1572514409660718&alt=media)\n",

I will be connected with my studies and with what i love!\nI love that kind of stories, to read to gain knowledge!\n\nI have similar schedule to your, but of course sometimes it is hard to strictly kepp with it. I start learning at about 8 pm and it lasts everyday for 4-5 hours. But after several days i feel exhausted.. and just after job there are some days when i just fall asleep.. \n\nI wish you luck! ",
