## Introduction
Participants from all over the world can take part in the **Wheat Disease Multimodal Classification Challenge**.
You must be over 18, or of legal age in your jurisdiction, in order to participate.

## Timing and Duration
The challenge will take place online from **December 30, 2025 to March 1, 2026**.

## Creating and Submitting a Solution

1. **Data Usage**: For this challenge, you will have access to the multimodal training datasets (RGB, Multispectral, and Hyperspectral) and a range of tools via the Starter Pack.
    * **External Data**: No other external datasets can be used for the development of your solution.
    * **Pre-trained Models**: The use of pre-trained models (e.g., ImageNet weights) is allowed.
    * **Access**: The data for this competition is available on the Kaggle webpage. It can be downloaded or processed using Kaggle's computing services.
    * **Starter Code**: Here is a short code example for data reading and processing: ([Starter Notebook](https://www.kaggle.com/code/robeson/starter)).

2. **Submission Frequency**: Each participant is allowed to upload their solutions every **12 hours** to avoid system overload and ensure fair play.

3. **Final Submission**: The final submission of your solution must be made by **March 1, 2026**. Each valid submission must consist of a **Jupyter notebook** containing the implementation of your final algorithm. This is required to allow the Organizers to reproduce the predictions and verify the results.

## Challenge Evaluation
The evaluation of the submitted solutions will be performed in two stages:

1. **Quantitative Analysis**: Live scoring of your solution's quality throughout the challenge, based on the competition metric. This score will be visible on the public leaderboard.
2. **Qualitative Analysis**: A review of your code performed by the Organizers. This analysis is conducted solely to prove the **validity and reproducibility** of your solution.

**Prize Eligibility**: The final score is based solely on the quantitative evaluation. However, if a solution is found to be non-reproducible, or if concerns about its validity arise, the organizers reserve the right to contact the team leader to resolve the issue. If the issue cannot be resolved, the team will not be eligible to receive prizes.

For more details on the specific metrics used, please refer to the **Metrics** section on the Data page.
