# Dataset Description

## Files

*   **train.csv** - the training set
*   **test.csv** - the test dataset in the same format as train.csv
*   **sample_submission.csv** - a sample submission file in the correct format with random values between 0-5

## Columns

*   `admin0` - Administrative Level 0, country name
*   `admin1` - Administrative Level 1, region/state/province name
*   `admin2` - Administrative Level 2, sub-region name
*   `market` - Name of Local Market, unique identifier, there may be some errant characters in the market names
*   `latitude` - Latitude of the market
*   `longitude` - Longitude of the market
*   `commodity` - Name of the commodity, see below for full list of commodities by count. We will predict `Wheat flour` prices.
*   `unit` - Unit of measurement of the commmodity, mostly `KG`
*   `currency` - Local currency of the market
*   `year` - Year of the observation
*   `month` - Month of the observation
*   `date` - Date of the observation
*   `price_localcurrency` - Price of the given commodity in local currency in the given market on the given date
*   `price_usd` - Price of the given commodity in USD in the given market on the given date
*   `igc_wheat` - Global export price of wheat in USD for the given date
*   `igc_maize` - Global export price of maize in USD for the given date
*   `igc_rice` - Global export price of rice in USD for the given date
*   `igc_barley` - Global export price of barley in USD for the given date
*   `market_year_month` - An identifier that combines the name of the market, the year, and the month as a string. Unique for each commodity. Used as a unique ID in the submission. 

**Note**: There should be only one row per market for a given commodity and unit on a given date.
