# Dataset Description

Each image, of 160px width and 60px height, contains 5 alphanumerical characters - that are squeezed, distorted, noisy, etc. etc. These images were generated through the [`captcha` module in Python](https://github.com/lepture/captcha)

## Dataset Files and Directories

- `train/` folder contains 30,000 images that are labelled in `train_metadata.csv`
- `test/` contains 10,000 images which are not labelled externally; for this "label" is what you have to predict.
- `LICENSE.txt` cites the use of the [captcha Python Library](https://github.com/lepture/captcha/blob/master/) while making the dataset - both train and test sets.

## train_metadata.csv

- `image_name`: The name of the image (extension included), such as `0.png`, `1.png`, ... , `n.png` where n is a positive natural number.

- `captcha_text`: The text that the image holds in the form of captcha. It is the actual value which is present in the image. **This is your target variable for the submission**
