Overview
The Build Our Next LLM challenge is SmilyAI-Labs’ open competition inviting creators to design the next breakthrough language model for our lab. Participants can use any architecture — Transformers, RNNs, CNNs, Mamba-style layers, hybrids, or completely original designs. The goal is simple: push MMLU performance as far as possible and show off your AI engineering skills.
The model with the highest verified MMLU score wins the competition, and the Top 10 models will be published under the official SmilyAI-Labs account with full credit to their creators. Submissions must include a submission.csv, a runnable notebook, a generation function, and a README.md.
