# Dataset Description

The dataset has bee collected from craigslist. For the purpose of the CAS BDAI Cup the data has been shortened and pre-processed a bit. The original dataset can be found here
## Descriptions of the data sets
- **train_data.csv** Complete training data (X and y) for building models
- **test_data.csv**: X values for the testing data, y values (are "unknown" and saved within kaggle for scoring)
## Descriptions of the variables
- **Id** Instance ID
- **price** Price of the car in USD
- **year** Production date of car
- **brand** String indicating the car manufacturer
- **model** String indicating the model name 
- **transmission** String indicating the transmission type (automatic vs. manual etc.)
- **mileage** Total distance the car has been running in miles
- **fuelType** String indicating type of fuel the car runs with
- **tax** Road tax to be paid for using the car on public streets
- **mpg** MilesPerGallon indicating how many miles a car can travel for every gallon (4.55 litres)
- **engineSize** Size of the engine in liters
