**Introduction:**
The dataset documents rates and trends in heart disease and stroke mortality in the United States from 2000 to 2019. It provides county-level estimates of heart disease and stroke death rates.The data is segmented by age group, race/ethnicity, and sex to comprehensively analyse mortality patterns and trends.

The dataset encompasses mortality rates and heart disease and stroke trends across various demographic groups and time periods. 

The dataset presents the occurrences of various cardiovascular diseases like coronary heart diseases, stroke, hypertension etc. among people of different age groups, ethnicities and gender in different counties of the US over a period of 20 years.
