Winners must post or link to their solutions within fourteen (14) days of being notified of their winning status." Does it mean we have fourteen days after the challenge to submit our model? This seems in contradiction with your post, in which you say that we have submit our models prior to the end of the challenge.
\n
2) Open source code. The rules say: "A Submission will be ineligible to win a prize if it was developed using code containing or depending on software licensed under an open source license:
\n
* other than an Open Source Initiative-approved license (see <http://opensource.org/>); or
* an open source license that prohibits commercial use."
\n
What about code that depends on MATLAB, which is not an open source software?
",

      "content": "
You may submit your code up to 2 weeks after the challenge. But, we need to be able to run it and reproduce the results of your final challenge submission. For that reason, if you submit it before the end of the challenge (and let us know), we will make an effort to try to run it on a small data sample and give you feed-back if there is any problem. The Kaggle platform will let you submit during 14 days after the challenge ends.
\n
For licensing issues, it will depend on the specifics of the licenses. The rule of thumb is that anybody should be able to run your code for any purpose without paying a special expensive license. For Matlab, toolboxes are generally expensive and even a regular Matlab license cannot be afforded by everybody. It would be preferable if the code can also be executed under Octave https://www.gnu.org/software/octave/. Contact us at causality@chalearn.org if you have more specific questions.
",
