# Scoring & Leaderboard Rules

The leaderboard tracks your **highest single submission score**. Scores are not cumulative across different files.

### 1. Evaluation Logic
The judge runs your `submission.py` against all 16 levels in one go.
* **Partial Scripts:** If your code only solves Level 3, the judge marks the other 15 levels as "Failed."
* **Non-Additive:** You cannot submit Level 1 today and Level 2 tomorrow to get a 0.125. You must submit one file that solves both simultaneously.

### 2. Submission Structure
To increase your rank, maintain a "Master Script." When you solve a new level, add that logic to your existing `submission.py` without removing previous levels.

### 3. Tie-Breaking
* **Primary:** Total levels passed in a single submission.
* **Secondary:** In a tie, the earlier submission time wins.

### 4. Integrity
* **No Hardcoding:** Do not manually edit the `submission.csv`.
* **Validation:** We will audit the winning notebooks. If the `submission.csv` was not generated by the `cosmic_judge` function during the notebook run, the entry will be disqualified.
