## Objective

The RetinaMNIST is based on the DeepDRiD24 challenge, see [https://www.nature.com/articles/s41597-022-01721-8](https://www.nature.com/articles/s41597-022-01721-8), which provides a dataset of 1,600 retina fundus images. The task is ordinal regression for 5-level grading of diabetic retinopathy severity.
