# Dataset Description

The dataset contains information on **construction projects and associated material invoices**, combining project metadata, material details, and cost information. 

### Project Information  
- **PROJECTNUMBER** → Unique identifier for each project.  
- **PROJECT_CITY** → City where the project is located.  
- **STATE** → State (for U.S. projects).  
- **PROJECT_COUNTRY** → Country of the project.  
- **CORE_MARKET** → Core market segment (e.g., Enterprise, Future Tech, Tertiary Learning).  
- **PROJECT_TYPE** → Type of project (e.g., Workspace, Critical Ops, R&D Labs).  
- **SIZE_BUILDINGSIZE** → Total building size (square footage).  
- **NUMFLOORS** → Number of floors in the building.  
- **NUMROOMS** → Number of rooms.  
- **NUMBEDS** → Number of beds (for residential/hospital-type projects).  
- **CONSTRUCTION_START_DATE** → Official project start date.  
- **SUBSTANTIAL_COMPLETION_DATE** → Estimated completion date.  
- **REVISED_ESTIMATE** → Revised project cost estimate.  
- **M_W** →Mega Watt Total Capacity.  

### Invoice & Material Information  
- **invoiceId** → Unique invoice identifier.  
- **invoiceDate** → Date of the invoice.  
- **invoiceTotal** → Total invoice amount.  
- **ItemDescription** → Description of the material/item.  
- **MasterItemNo** → Unique item code.  
- **QtyShipped** → Quantity shipped.  
- **UOM** → Unit of measurement (e.g., pcs, box, TB, PC).  
- **ExtendedQuantity** → Adjusted/converted material quantity.  
- **PriceUOM** → Price per unit of measure.  
- **UnitPrice** → Price of a single unit.  
- **ExtendedPrice** → Total price for the line item.  

### Notes  
- Some fields (e.g., `NUMROOMS`, `NUMBEDS`, `ExtendedPrice`) have missing values.  
- Numeric fields like `UnitPrice`, `ExtendedPrice`, and `invoiceTotal` may contain string formatting (e.g., commas, currency symbols) that require cleaning.  
- The dataset enables participants to link **project metadata** with **material consumption and costs**, which is crucial for building forecasting and procurement models.
