"content": "For this competition, use a three-layer neural network. To train the multilayer neural network, use the PyTorch deep learning library. The net has an input dimension of N, a hidden layer dimension of H, and performs classification over 10 classes of the CIFAR-10 dataset.\n\nIn other words, the network has the following architecture:\nInput - fully connected layer - ReLU - Fully connected layer - ReLU - Fully connected layer - Softmax \nThe outputs of the third fully connected layer are the scores for each class.\n\nTo start working on this Project, follow the below steps:\n**Step 1: Prepare the dataset:**\nPrepare the CIFAR-10 dataset in PyTorch format and Develop train, val, and test dataloader for training and testing. \n\nPyTorch’s `Dataset` and `DataLoader `classes help us fetch the training batches in the background using multiple processes. To avoid computational bottlenecks, using these background processes ensures that the next batch of data is ready when the model finishes its backward pass. \nThe code for this will be provided to you. \n\n```\n# Preparing your pytorch custom dataset.\nimport torch\nfrom torch.utils.data import Dataset\nfrom torch.utils.data.dataset import random_split\n\ntransform = transforms.Compose([ transforms.ToTensor()])\n\nclass CustomImageDataset(Dataset):\n def __init__(self, img_dic, transform=None):\n\n self.img_dic = img_dic\n self.transform = transform\n\n self.img_names = list(img_dic.keys())\n self.labels = list(img_dic.values())\n\n def __getitem__(self, index):\n img = Image.open(self.img_names[index])\n label = self.labels[index]\n if self.transform is not None:\n img = self.transform(img)\n label = self.transform(label)\n return img, label\n\n def __len__(self):\n return len(self.img_names)\n```\n```\n# Read the image name and label from the train.csv and test.csv files \ntrain_image_label_dic = ...\ntest_image_label_dic =...\n```\n```\ntrain_dataset = CustomImageDataset(train_image_label_dic, transform)\ntest_dataset = CustomImageDataset(test_image_label_dic, transform)\n\ntorch.manual_seed(1)\ntrain_dataset, val_dataset = random_split(train_dataset, lengths=[...., ...])\n```\n```\n# Transform the train, val, and test pytorch dataset into dataloader\n\n```\n**Step 2: Build a three-layer neural network Pipeline:**\n```\nclass ThreeLayer_DNN(torch.nn.Module):\n ......\n```\n**Additional resources:**\n [Datasets & DataLoaders] (https://pytorch.org/tutorials/beginner/basics/data_tutorial.html)",
