Will I still be on the leaderboard if I don't upload a model but do submit in the second stage?

Yes. However, if you do not upload a model and finish in a prize\n position, your team will be removed from the competition standings\n entirely.

From this faq, it says even though model was not uploaded, we should still be on the leaderboard unless if it is a prize position. So teams that didn't upload their model or were late shouldn't be removed from leaderboard?

The only requirement stated is that we made a submission during stage 2.

There may be a bug in the LB, but if this is not a bug and it is rather a permanent removal then you can appeal the decision. I don't have the link handy, but it will be provided by Kaggle staff at some point I think. Or maybe someone else will put it here.
