"content": "
Dear Compliance and Administrative Teams,
\n\n
A common noble theme has brought us together, which is to accelerate disease cure through the automation of detecting nuclei in images. Thus, thousands of data scientists over the past several months have worked hard and smart, day and night, weekdays and weekends, to contribute to the solution of the 2018 Data Science Bowl.
\n\n
Data Scientists at all skill levels participated in this research. There are only 5 winners who receive monetary rewards, and for the remaining participants, we have been interested in contributing our intellectual property and scientific knowledge in this journey with no expectations other than learning from each other and being recognized.
\n\n
Surprisingly, more than 50% of participants have been disqualified in Stage 2 of the competition. The only feedback we have received on the discussion board is that it is because teams haven’t submitted their models. But it also appears that some teams have been disqualified even though they did submit their model.
\n\n
At this point, we would love to hear from you. Why have teams been disqualified? Were the rules outlined clearly? And how can we work together to still adhere to your rules and still be recognized for our efforts, specifically as it pertains to submitting our code and intellectual property to meet the competitions goals of advancing medical research in detecting nuclei.
\n\n
Sincerely, \nTEAMPDITI
",
