# Dataset Description

Overview of the provided data files

## Files

*   **train.csv** - the training set
*   **test.csv** - the test set
*   **sample_submission.csv** - a sample submission file in the correct format

## Columns

- `txid` — the transaction identification number
- `creationdate` — the transaction date
- `issuercountrycode` — the country where the shopper’s card was issued
- `txvariantcode` — the card type
- `bin` — the first four to six digits of the card number are called as the Bank Identification Number (BIN), they can be used to quickly determine the card network and the financial institute that issued the card
- `amount` — the transaction amount in the original currency
- `currencycode` — the currency the transaction was processed in
- `shoppercountrycode` — the shopper country represents the location of the shopper during the transaction and is recorded based on both the issuing country of their payment method, as well as the IP address at time of transaction
- `cardverificationcodesupplied` — cvc code supplied
- `cvcresponsecode` — response code from the issuer concerning the cvc code
-  `card_id` — a hashed version of the card number
- `is_fraud` — The target column indicating whether a payment is fraudulent or not
