"content": "You are provided three sets of images, train, test, and the ground-truth training data without noise in train_cleaned. These images are of documents synthetically noised with the [Augraphy](https://github.com/sparkfish/augraphy) library, which simulate real-world paper printing, faxing, scanning and copy machine processes. Your task is to create an algorithm to remove the noise from images in the test set.\n\n**Note:** You **MUST** use make-submission.py to produce your submission file.\n\n## Files\n\n* **train.csv** - the training set\n* **test.csv** - the test set\n* **sample_submission.csv** - a sample submission file in the correct format\n* **mapping.txt** - the mapping between test image file names and their position in the submission file [1]\n* **make-submission.py** - change the cleaned_images_dir path in this file and run it to generate your submission file\n\n[1] the files were sorted in alphanumeric order.",

"content": "Hello everyone! \n\nCurrently, the leaderboard shows all submissions as having received a score of 0, the highest possible. This is due to an error in the submission scoring method, which we believe has now been resolved. After working with Kaggle to re-score the submissions on the leaderboard against the new settings, they told us they were unable to do anything.\n\n[Therefore, there is a new fixed competition!](https://www.kaggle.com/competitions/denoising-shabby-pages) The new Hackathon has the same challenge and same data as the current one, just with a fixed evaluation. Submit your solutions there for the chance to win some prizes!\n\nThank you!",
