In this competition participants are tasked with developing models that can read in lines of [Deseret Alphabet Scripture](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deseret_alphabet) and transcribe the corresponding unicode representation. This hackathon is hosted by [the BYU AI Association](https://aia.byu.edu/) and is available to any BYU undergraduate or graduate student as long provided they are available to present their solution in on December 3rd, 2025. 

Total cash prizes will be around $500. The details will be added here later.

The kickoff for this competition will be on November 19th 2025 in 2111 JKB
