# Dataset Description

# TLDR

The data used in this Hackathon comes from many different [The Messenger] (https://messenger.eso.org) journals. Importantly, all texts have been significantly modified using LLMs before hiding messages.

Your task is to find those hidden messages.

## Files
The files will be provided in the Discussion forum on 26th October 2025: [updated schedule]
- At 11:00 AM, we will share 2 files in the Discussion tab [title: First competition data released].​
- At 1:30 PM, we will share 1 more, also in the Discussion tab [title: Second competition data released].​

### Preprocessing

The dataset is a highly preprocessed version of the raw [The Messenger] (https://messenger.eso.org) journal articles. Different techniques were used for the preprocessing.
