Think that is wrong but I did shut down all computers, switches, etc and did a hard reset (pull the plug) on my Comcast modem. Going to do a soft reset shortly as the hard did nothing. The person in GEE forum who responded thought that Python on local might have generated sufficent api access requests that the google system thought it should be a commercial (pay money) use. His suggestion was to avoid the chat and do the email submission explaining that the use is related to kaggle challenge and not a business use.\n\nI did a large amount of use of the java code editor in GEE over the past 5 days on both my machine and my daughters in Atlanta and never had an issue. Back home in Pittsburgh and started running Python local when the issue arose- think the python local can become a problem for us in this competition. \n\nGoogle maps support ticket is 22218943.",
"752485": "Support had me generate api key and enable the Maps API - guessing if things ever work again I am going to get billed for requests :)\nAlso a first for me to use JS Bin - if nothing else this competition a real learning experience. But same errors running an example java script to generate a map. Rather than blank there is a sorry no image message. \nUp to the point of the crash I was finding the Python coding to be a lot harder to use and customize than the GEE code editor. Hopefully getting Google Maps back working will be a simple fix that will not leave me afraid to run Python on my local machine. I am not a real fan of learning in a kaggle kernel and rather develop on Linux local and upload a finished kernel to kaggle. My skills still first grade level and kaggle kernels less forgiving than a local Jupyter notebook.",
"752991": "For no known reason I am back to having full access to all google map functions across all of my devices - my initial Python code on my Ubuntu machine generating correct maps again.\n\nAs part of the root cause Google support did have me get a map api key and enable the map api on Google Cloud Platform yesterday. The initial script run on JS Bin had 403 errors, but perhaps there was some wait function required for the api_key, etc to work. Taking the day off today and will see if my initial Python code can shut me down again tomorrow. Will also watch my GCP billing to see if the fix required enabling charges to occur for the Python access requests on my local machine.",
"753117": "I am glad that it is working again. It looks like what happened is you received a 24-hr ban because your notebook called the Google Maps Platform (MapsAPI) to retrieve map tiles too many times over too short of a time period. The map tiles mostly just add context to the data and do not necessarily need to be retrieved with every data run.",
"753182": "I was running each of the small Python files that can be found in the [GEE github](https://github.com/google/earthengine-api/blob/master/python/examples/py/FeatureCollection/join.py) examples for Python. Another user on GEE who had the same issue was likewise running some of those. The code that seemed to generate my issue was a ee.Join of parks and bart stations in the join.py script.\n\nI have looked for more documentation on the Python api and its pretty lean."
