"content": "
1. "prop_location_score1" and "prop_location_score2" are two different scores that measure attractiveness of hotels' location, as perceived by expedia visitors. The higher the score, the more desirable location.
\n
2. Sometimes users make searches on expedia web pages by first visiting search engines such as google or bing, typing a query (e.g. "cheap hotels new york"), and then clicking on the expedia (sponsored or not) link. srch_query_affinity_score is a (log) probability of clicking on a hotel given a search query. These probabilities were estimated from historical click-stream data. The actual search queries are not part of the released dataset. The reason that a given hotel has different scores is because if was presented in the context of different search queries.
\n

\n
Cheers,
\n
Adam
\n

",
