# F1nalyze - FAQs

## What are Notebooks?
Kaggle Notebooks is a cloud computational environment that enables reproducible and collaborative analysis. Kernels support scripts in R and Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and RMarkdown reports. You can go to the [Code](https://www.kaggle.com/competitions/f-1-nalyze-datathon/code) tab to view all the publicly shared code in this competition. You can also create your own notebook and start working on the dataset by importing it. To learn more about using Notebooks for data science, you can visit Kaggle's Learn Courses.

## What’s the difference between a private and public leaderboard?
In this competition, there is a concept of a public and private leaderboard to prevent participants from "overfitting" to the leaderboard. If a model is "overfit" to a dataset, it means that it is not generalizable outside of the dataset it was trained on. In this competition, the leaderboard is calculated using approximately 50% of the test data. The final results will be based on the other 50%, so the final standings may be different.

## What is Kaggle?
Kaggle is an online community and platform for data science competitions, machine learning projects, and collaborative data analysis. It provides a wide range of datasets, tools, and resources for data scientists and machine learning enthusiasts. Kaggle hosts competitions where participants can showcase their skills and compete with others to solve real-world data problems. It also offers various learning resources and a community forum for knowledge sharing and collaboration.

## Are there any restrictions on the use of external data or pre-trained models?
In the F1nalyze competition, participants are allowed to refer and use external data for training the model, as long as the target variable is the same as stated in the competition rules. Participants are encouraged to conduct thorough Exploratory Data Analysis as a crucial preparation step as it can help uncover patterns, identify anomalies, validate assumptions, and select features for modeling.

## How can I ask questions or seek clarifications?
If you have any questions or need clarifications regarding the F1nalyze competition, you can use the communication channels provided by us. You can join the official F1nalyze WhatsApp group for discussions with other participants and the organizing team. Additionally, there is a dedicated forum or [discussion board](https://www.kaggle.com/competitions/f-1-nalyze-datathon/discussion) on the competition platform where you can post your queries and receive responses from the community and organizers.

## Can I form teams in this competition?
Yes, formation of teams is allowed in this competition with a Team size of 1-2 members.
