# Dataset Description

<p>You have been provided with sales data for 2 products sold in two different retail locations of the same large national grocery chain.</p>
<h2>File descriptions</h2>
<ul>
<li><strong>train.csv</strong> - daily sales data (Jan 2012 - May 2013) for all stores &amp; dates in the training set</li>
<li><strong>sampleSubmission.csv</strong> - a sample submission file in the correct format (you will need to change the units from zero to do better in the competition)</li>
</ul>
<h2>Data fields</h2>
<ul>
<li><strong>date </strong>- the day of sales</li>
<li><strong>store_nbr</strong> - an id representing one of two stores</li>
<li><strong>items_nbr</strong> - an id representing one of two products</li>
<li><strong>units</strong> - the quantity sold of an item on a given day</li>
<li><strong>id</strong> - a triplet representing a store_nbr, item_nbr, and date. Form the id by concatenating these (in that order) with an underscore. E.g. "2_1_2013-06-15" represents store 2, item 1, sold on June 15, 2013.</li>
