# Data Description

## Files

- **merged_state_data.csv** – Contains state-level geographic and demographic data such as average elevation, land and water area, total area, the percentage of land under federal jurisdiction, and the urbanization rate.
- **weather_monthly_state_aggregates.csv** – Provides monthly weather aggregates by state, including precipitation (PRCP), evaporation (EVAP), minimum temperature (TMIN), and maximum temperature (TMAX).
- **wildfire_sizes_before_2010.csv** – Historical records of total wildfire sizes for each state and month prior to 2010.
- **zero_submission.csv** – A sample submission file containing placeholder (zero) values for `total_fire_size` for post-2010 months, used for prediction evaluation.
