In this hackathon it's your job to create a model that best predicts how much area of wildfires there is in every US state for every calendar month from 2011 to 2015. To help you with this, we've provided you with wildfire data from 1992 until 2010, weather data spanning until 2015, and current state data for things like urbanization. Check out the evaluation metric below, and the data under the data tab. If you want to see what a correct submission looks like, take a look at the code tab, and look at the example notebook. Best of luck! Don't forget to make a team under the team tab with your team name! Rule note: you're not allowed to use data that is either on fires themselves, or are direct causes of fire. ![](https://www.googleapis.com/download/storage/v1/b/kaggle-user-content/o/inbox%2F3570816%2F7697a2e8e79593ddaf5173a14d9f58e9%2FWhatsApp%20Image%202025-02-21%20at%2021.57.55.jpeg?generation=1740171510734812&alt=media)
