# Dataset Description

#General
The training dataset contains three types of data files:
1) borehole logs (BH_1 ~ 9), format: PDF
2) CPT soundings (CPT_1 ~ 26), format: xlsx
3) CPT and BH coordinates (CPT_BH_coordinates, Note: it is a two-tab file with one tab for CPT and another for BH), format: xlsx 

All three types of data should be used in the competition. Some processing of the PDF files may be required for extracting useful information. Though the detailed logs of 9 boreholes are given, note that only training boreholes BH-2, 4, 6, 7, 8 can be used for model training. The rest 4 are used for testing only. **Using the testing dataset in the training phase violates the rules.** the coordinates of all 9 boreholes are given for prediction purposes. The competitors are expected to predict the borehole logs (regarding soil types) with quantified uncertainty at the four testing borehole locations.
