"content": "<p>This is my first attempt at analysing EEG data and time series in general, and I have a few very basic questions. A few channels seem to have negative readings, how should I interpret this? Is the current going in the other direction, does this mean the activity is inhibitory? In other words, what is the baseline? Also, the average for each channel seems very different, what is the meaning of this, and should I worry about this, or just demean each time window I am considering (wouldn't I eliminate potentially interesting low-frequency signal if I do this)?</p>",

It should be a left frontopolar electrode, but looking at the waveforms - unless I've made a mistake - it seems to have a different timecourse from the others. Has anyone else got the same, and, if it's true, why?</p>",
