As we entering the final day of this challenge, I would like to wish good luck to everyone. This competition was awesome and very challenging.

We still have 23h to go, we have time for a last code checkup to be sure we don't use future data, that our solutions are reproducible and more importantly, that we didn't overfit.

Seriously, EEG challenges are famous for their LB shakeUp. I'm not sure it will be the case for this one, but considering the small difference of score between peoples in the top10, I expect to have some surprises.

So the 5000$ question is how to choose your two final submissions, and how much do you trust your CV !

Let me second the congratulations. This has been exciting and I've been learning a lot as I go along. Alexandre: your code was particularly helpful in giving me ideas for things to try since I knew nearly nothing about EEGs coming into this thing.

As for Alexandre's question: I don't trust my CV in the slightest. It's a fickle beast and I'm sure it would like nothing better than lead me astray. I think we've taken steps to avoid overfitting, but I'll be biting my nails 5 hours from now when this thing comes to an end.

I would say that I can hardly wait till this is over, but I still have a shocking amount left to do...

On our side, and judging by the number of submission we made, it's not a secret that we have a good trust in our CV. It's also a beast, but it has been reliable during all the challenge. We learned the Hard Way to avoid make-believe.

Previous EEG competitions were won by at least a couple percentages gap, if I am not wrong.

But, here with 1-14 being separated by less than a percentage point, anything could happen :)

\n\n

But, I want to congratualate everyone for making this an interesting and highly competitive competition nomatter what happens in less than 4hrs!

\n\n

I am especially so delighted to work with Tim and learn a lot along the way again no matter what happens :) It was a lot of fun!!!

Good luck everyone! This competition is my first Kaggle challenge and it has been really fun, perhaps even too much fun...
